FALL 2012 SHOE TRENDS 

Just like the clothes we wear, the style and color of our hair and the make up hues; Shoes also have their seasonal trends and looks. 

We pay attention to what style of clothing we see dominating the fashion runways around the world....but sometimes we miss whats on their feet. 

The past 2 years shoes have been, well all I can say is...Fun.  The colors are bolder, the heels and platforms are higher and the styles look as if they were designed by a Architectural Shoe God!

It is no secret that well I Love shoes and Love my Shoegasms! What is a Shoegasm?  A Shoegasm is a shoe that makes you lose all sense of yourself. 

So take a look at some of the fall favorites that were spotted on the runways from fall fashion week that put me in a total Multiple Shoegasm Frenzy!  They are a little pricey but hey we're just looking right.

OMF! Moments at the Much Music Video Awards 2012

One of the things I simply adore, love and am obsessed with are Red Carpets.....Not because I want to walk on them...although that is HELLA cool.  It is to see who is going to bring it!!!!  Yes I do love the performances, yest I do love to see who takes home the prize but nothing gets my temperature rising like the hot looks on a Red Carpet...I am just sayin..

The Much Music Awards in Canada did exactly what I needed it to do on a softer scale...but I still had a major OMF! Moment and you may be surprised who it was that gave it...

Now there were some incredible performances.  Nelly Fertado, LMFAO, and Kelly Clarkson killed it with the vocals.  They were all doing their thing. 

When Kay Perry got up to perform that is when it happened.  I felt the moment brewing  as soon as I saw her....

That BUTTERFLY ensemble was Uber out there and I loved every possible thing about it...

Strange I know.  But you never know when a OMF! Moment will take place...heheheheeee

The Art Institute of Atanta's Speakeasy Runway Event 2012

No secret I love fashion.  I love the whole process from envisioning, to sketching, to creating to seeing it come down the runway.  I also love seeing new designers paving their way to make their designer label a house hold brand.  Early this month i was honored to do the Red Carpet Coverage for a end of semester runway event put on by some of Professor Gorman's students from the Art Institute in Atlanta.  The entire show was put together by the students.  The designs and show had a Harlem Nights/Cotton Club theme Various designers participated in this wonderful runway event.   It took place at the Sweet Water Brewery.  Another thing I love Beer....lol.  Of course the entire night couldn't have one glass.

Things got started with yours truly doing a little Red Carpet Hosting.

LeeVann is one of the finalists from Fashion Uncorked 2011. He had a few pieces that came down the runway.  He is truly a designer on the rise.  Keep your eyes peeled.

OMF! Moments At The CMT Awards 2012!

I may not listen to country often...I do have a couple of choice songs that I will um a little diddy to.
But when it comes to Fashion and the CMT Awards, even I am "A Little Bit of Country"  While I was covering  the Red Carpet at a Fashion event here in Atlanta; The Country Music Awards was taking place.  Like any awards show it is great to see hard work pay off.  You know, chart topping hits and music videos that look like feature films.....But as you all  know for me; It is ALLL about the fashion...Can't help it.. I am addicted...

So I once again began my quest and I did find and have a couple of OMF! Moments....Yaaaaaay!

TOM GOSSIN, RACHEL REINERT and MIKE GOSSIN of GLORIANA

This trio looked amazing!  They managed to deliver their 

individual style without over powering each other. 

Love it!!!!

She looks Gorgeous!

The shimmery cock tail dress with the flowing locks... Splendid

Then that clutch and OMF! Those Shoes!  It was a 

fashion escalating moment from head to toe.

OMF! Moments at the CFDA Awards 2012!

Now when you are in search of OMF! Moments you absolutely must know that one place you are going to have a PLETHORA of them IT IS going to be during the CFDA Awards!  For those of you who may not know the CFDA Awards is what some call the "Fashion Oscars".  Not only it is one of the Biggest nights for the Fashion Industry, but this year it was their 50th Anniversary.  So can you say I was sooooo waiting for this.

The great thing is that there were so many OMF! Moments...and the Bad thing is that there were sooo many OMF! Moments.... I couldn't possibly post them all.  But I did pull my favs and post a link where you can go and scope some Oh My Fashion! Moments of your own.

OMF! Moments at the MTV Movie Awards 2012

Now you and I know that any award show should be ALL about who will win!  Well in my world it is ALL about who wore what, and who made my jaw drop... I am always, no matter where I am searching for those OMF! Moments so I can share my fav's with you.

At the MTV Awards this year I noticed that the trend was more about the Cocktail style dress rather then the long glmourific gowns.  Which I would imagine would go along with MTV where it is to be a network of music, shows and movies that allow you to express your individuality but at the same time be uniformed so to speak.

OK enough with the word play.....

Let's take a look at who my favorites were on the Red Carpet!

OMF! Beauty Treatments, Tricks and Secrets!

I am a huge fan of DIY (DO IT YOURSELF) Beauty products for several reason

• It is cost effective. ( I have kids so saving money is definitely on my list of things to do daily)
• I can do it at home ( My schedule get pretty busy and sometimes the only time I have to myself is first thing in the morning before meditation, after my work out...lol)
• Most of the products are already in your cupboard. ( You would be surprised at what products you use on a daily basis double over as a beauty treatment)
• AGAIN!  IT'S COST EFFECTIVE!

I have personally tried each and one of these treatments.  My skin is not as sensitive as most.  My advise is to make sure you know your skin.  Don't just go trying it because I said so....lol 

THE ASPIRIN MASK 

When I came across this one when I was actually looking up the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar scrub, which we get into a little later.  It is a very simple mask to do.  Before I post the recipe here are the reasons why this scrub is the absolute best for exfoliating and evening your skin tone. 

Aspirin is actually a form of Beta Hydroxy Acids or BHA’s, which are found in many skin creams and work by exfoliating the dull, dead layers of skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Over time, BHA’s can help clarify skin tone and promote healing of blemishes. 

How do you make it? 
The Aspirin mask must be made with uncoated, dissolvable tablets. Take two or three tablets and dissolve in a teaspoon/tablespoon of warm water. 
You can add honey, or tee tree oil, some use jojoba oil.  I just use some pure coconut oil to moisturize my skin afterwords.  You see the effects immediately.  Your skin become very very soft. 

However, do not use the aspirin mask if you have a sensitivity to BHA’s or if you have very sensitive skin, or obviously if you are allergic to aspirin! 

Apple Cider Vinegar Scrub!

There are so many benefits to ACV..That is if you can stomach the taste and smell.

• Helps clear up skin conditions and blemishes giving a smoother texture and complexion.
• Apple Cider Vinegar helps to break down fats so that your body can use them rather than store them. For this reason, many diets include ACV in their regimen.

I take 2 tsps of ACV daily and I use it on my arms, legs and face.  It is a great astringent.  You might not smell the best but it only lasts for a few moments.

How to use?

You can use as just a toner which I use as a toner all over your body 

 Simply dab ACV on a cloth and just scrub.  Some people add extra ingredients for various reasons it is simply preference.  

I use this every day sometimes multiple times but make sure you have a great moisturizer as well. 

The Immediate Face lift Mask

Now if you are like me sometimes your skin may seem a little dull and tired and you have

an event to go to or a photo shoot or some on camera activity.  Even if you are not like me

this is just great to do when you are getting dolled up to go out. 

It is the Immediate face lift and it is so simple 

How to make 

2 egg whites

Mix/whip

Apply all over your face and jaw line. 

Let dry! 

You will begin to feel it tighten as it drys.  

Take a warm rag and gently remove. Pat dry 

Voila

Your skin will look and feel alive.  Follow up with a toner and or moisturizer

Again I prefer coconut oil.  Which you can get from Whole Foods or GNC.  But do some

research and see what you like and what works for you!
